Victoria, Duchess of Kent, letter to The Lord Chancellor, 1839June 6.

Laid in a bound morocco volume is a letter written at Buckingham Palace on 6 June 1839 to the Lord Chancellor [Charles Cottenham], from the Duchess of Kent indicating she is sending him copies of communications from Sir John Conroy and that she has shown them to the Duke of Wellington. Includes an engraved portrait of the Duchess by W. Read dated 1853.
